back and forth

m, back and forth projects are apparently all the rage. i'm keeping an eye on this, i am curious how they will move the items back and forth, the scariest part of our possible process....

poet-ees

i have been able to find custom tee shirts, for those who are interested. the upside? they will each be one-of-a-kind, screen printed on high-quality tees, with handmade accents by ms. A. the downside? it looks like we might have to go about $45 a piece for one of these bad boys.
so...for those who have expressed interest, the next step would be to message me with how you'd like to proceed. i understand the price is heavy, but again...this is not the gap. this is art, or as close as i can come. actually, you might pay that much at the gap anyway, no?

number two

and another

i find falling

i find falling forward
into your pillow
cold and comforting.
i find climbing up
hands on knees
making moist denim crackle.
i find squinting, leaning
heavy breathing
wishing like december's lover
for november thirty.

number one

A,

here's one i definitely want to use. i'm not sure it's the best, but it's meaning has never faded for me.

tension

sleet in my eyes
i press forward
into the wind
like your cold arms
pushing back
the night i told you
this wasn't working
and you couldn't have
all that you wanted

dot the i's/make the tees?

A,

a friend called me again today and suggested we do tee shirts. if we got a few together, and you stitched something on each, would that be cool or lame? it would be like art advertising art. i don't know. just wonderin.

all about bookmaking

i thought i would post the link to one of the probably many books i will be consulting for ideas about binding non-standard book pages.... available at your local library i am sure...
i am really excited to be working with soviets on this project- it's a large scale project, but each piece of the book will probably be different, there for i don't feel like this is so daunting.... plus i have wanted to practice bookmaking in general for a while now.

and salutations

welcome to the very organic home of the winter book project. we hope that you will check back as we make this long-distance art project come to life. over time, we'll likely involve you more in the process, but as A says, no limits for now. ahhh...so wise.
